I the Merman

I the merman of the light
Slowly coming in from dawn
Sitting on a rock dark night
In thoughts to distance drawn
Mountains high and low in sight
Taking photos with my Nikon
Gazing to the left and right
As the cloudlets drift here on

I the merman of the drawing
Giving pencil sketches life
From thoughts of my gathering
As I sit at highest ‘cutting knife’
Spaces of landscape blurring
As the forest faun plays its fife
With its mystic tones whirring
In widespread existence rife

I the merman of the road
Peeking though the timeless hours
Taking with me tinctured load
Of the rocks and wildness flowers
With my eyes I have glowed
Timeless motion distance showers
I half dressed man - in my ode
With forms, talent empowers
